How do you describe the best winter vacation in two words? Vista Verde. My husband and I have been winter guests at the ranch for four years and reservations are made for Feb. Our family and friends ask us why we don't try something new. I say " If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Our weeks at VV have been the most amazing of any vacations we have taken in our 24 years together. We have learned to snowshoe, back country ski, snowmobile, and even dog sled! We have tried the most amazing foods, sat in the hot tub and watched the horses in the winter pasture, fed the 50+ horses off the back of a hay wagon, sled down a hill so tall that the staff takes you up each time on a snowmobile. We have been sleigh riding in the snow and taken moonlight walks in 3 feet of snow. The favorite expression from the staff is: " We can make it happen". Each day is a new adventure with a new snow dance. The staff, accomodation, food and activities are the best we have ever experienced. There's no place like Vista Verde
