Pikes Peak (formerly Pike's Peak) is a mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, 10 miles (16 km) west of Colorado Springs, Colorado, in El Paso County. It is named for Zebulon Pike, an explorer who led an expedition to the southern Colorado area in 1806. At 14,115 feet (4302 m), it is one of Colorado's 54 fourteeners. Pikes Peak has been designated a National Historic Landmark.

A lot of Tarryall's guests will visit Pikes Peak sometime during their stay. Some guests choose to arrive a day ahead of their scheduled time at the Ranch and take in some sight-seeing. What a better place to go and see than Pikes Peak! It is awesome! You can drive to the top, or you can take the much desired Cog Rail and leave the driving up to them while you sit and enjoy the view! We have a great panoramic view of Pikes Peak from one of our trail rides. Once you've seen Pikes Peak from a distance sitting there way up high like a huge monument makes the desire to go see it from the top even more irresistible! |
