Southwest Hospitality

Founded in 1948, Wickenburg’s Rancho de los Caballeros spans 20,000 acres across the High Sonoran Desert with scenic views of the Bradshaw Mountains. Famous for our Southwest hospitality and respect for the natural world, we endeavor to follow the true spirit of the Spanish caballeros, the “gentlemen on horseback.”

Traditional Living, Neighborly Attitude

Every season, we welcome new guests and many returning ones—indeed, 75% of our families are returnees—who are drawn to our traditional living and a neighborly attitude. We’re located on the secluded outskirts of Wickenburg, while being within driving distance of Phoenix, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon.

Since 1948

Our venerable story dates back to 1948, when Dallas Gant, Sr., along with C.L. Maguire and Belford Howard, joined forces to lovingly build a dude ranch that could stand the test of time. Their dream was finally realized when Rancho de los Caballeros opened its doors to guests.

Personal Service Above All Else

As long-time past guests themselves, the new owners invite you to experience the ranches’ legacy in a refreshing new way! While they are carrying the torch of Rancho de los Caballeros’ renowned customer service philosophy of personal service above all else, we’ve got passionate new personnel and facility enhancements to make your stay more memorable.

“Sun C”

In the days when Rancho de los Caballeros ran cattle, our cattle brand was the “Sun C”, which looks like a “C” with three rays of sunshine to represent The Ranch’s three founding families. Today, with the three families that have been long-time past guests, the brand still lives on as a symbol of how family is at the heart of what we do, and it’s reflected in the way we treat our guests like one of our own, whether in greeting you with a handshake and a smile, or making sure you have everything you need for the perfect stay.

On our sprawling property, guests have access to our acclaimed 18-hole golf course, scheduled trail rides, (lope rides available), trap shooting, off-property jeep tours, and day spa, with an outdoor stone labyrinth.

Compliments of the Ranch: 4 Tennis Courts and Pickle Ball Court, swimming in our outdoor heated pool, Guided Nature Hikes, Hassayampa River Preserve Tours, Armchair Nature Hikes, Bird Watching, Trips to Wickenburg for Shopping and to see the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, Transportation to Vulture Peak Trail Head for Hiking

Step into our Main Dining Room to experience one of Wickenburg’s finest restaurants. Open for all three meals, this on-site eatery provides a sophisticated backdrop for catching up with family and friends. We offer buffets for breakfast and lunch—along with à la carte options. Once dusk falls, our chefs treat you to an array of sophisticated dishes for a 3-course dinner. At evening meals, we kindly ask you to adhere to our dress code. Collard shirts and slacks or jeans for men, and no shorts or tees. Ladies and kids are also asked to dress nicely and not wear shorts or tees. Unwind at our saloon, featuring a full-service bar, scheduled live music, and great company. Then, after a beautiful desert sunset, swing by our bonfire if you have a hankerin’ to sing cowboy round-up songs.

Experience a true Caballeros dinner under the stars at our cookouts. As dusk settles, everyone gathers around the campfire to enjoy upscale barbeque cuisine, games, and ranch entertainment.
