Goosewing Ranch

Deep in the Gros Ventre valley near Jackson Hole, Goosewing marks the entry point to a protected, pristine wilderness.  At 7,400 feet, the valley is host to some of North America's most spectacular game: deer, elk, moose, antelope, bear, and eagles, plus fantastic scenery.

Goosewing accommodates 35 guests per week, and all accommodations are private cabins, each with a rustic yet cozy decor.  Meals are family style in the main lodge.

Horseback riding is our main focus, and we cater to all riding levels and match the appropriate horse to each guest. Fly fishing is excellent in the area, and we provide instruction on our stocked pond and section of the Gros Ventre River that flows through the property.

Relax by our outdoor heated pool or hot tub before afternoon activities: target shooting, archery, roping, horse care, and arts and crafts.  Evening activities include line dancing, campfires, and cookouts.

Ranch Dining

Meals are served in the main lodge. Breakfast includes a continental buffet with cereal, fruit, and homemade pastries, as well as a complete breakfast with eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc.  Dinners are by theme - Italian Night, Southwest Night, Cowboy Night (steaks), and Angler Night (trout, salmon). Depending on the cuisine, meals may be served plated or buffet style.  Once a week there is a Dutch oven cookout over an open fire with live entertainment by the River.

Ranch Activities

Horseback riding is our main focus, and we canter to all riding levels. There is also excellent fly fishing, and we offer instruction on our private stocked pond and section of the Gros Ventre River. Other activities and amenities include arena lessons, an outdoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, target shooting, archery, arts & crafts, line dancing, camp fires, and more.

Ranch Lodging

Goosewing Ranch has 8 individual log cabins, complete with lodge pole furniture, private bath, and front porches overlooking the Gros Ventre River and valley. There are 3 2-bedroom cabins for bigger families. With its large stone fireplace, the main lodge serves as a central gathering place for dining and relaxing. A loft bar, with a pool table and satellite television, overlooks the main room. Hot tub and beautiful, newly remodeled outdoor heated swimming pool are also on the property.
